Network and social gatherings

Coming to and living in a foreign country as an au pair can sometimes be challenging and at times lonely. Caritas Denmark is therefore working on establishing network amongst au pairs and with other groups, as a way to find support and new social network.

Social meet-up: Rosenborg Castle

As we slowly enter the cozy month of September, we wanted to kick autumn off by visiting a castle! 

As Denmark is a country rich in history, it has lots of castles, and we are lucky enough to also have one in Copenhagen.

It will be a great opportunity to learn more about Danish culture and history, as well as make some new friends and catch up with existing ones!

If you have never joined our events before and are feeling a bit shy, don’t worry – we will ensure there will be a great atmosphere and our volunteers will also be there to help you make new meaningful connections. You won’t be left out!

We will meet on the 7th September (Saturday) at 13.30 in Nørreport station and then walk together to Rosenborg Castle – the plan is to enter the castle at 14. Caritas will pay for our tickets.

Caritas Friday Café

Every Friday we open up for a social gathering with our senior group. The group consist of mainly Philippinos – but not only – who meet for food, singing, dancing and other creative or social input. Everyone is welcome to join; we start at 3pm, eat together around 6pm and finish at 8pm.

The intention of the group is to have a forum where we can share experiences, tips and tricks, events, knowledge etc. and create a space from where we can find and build friendships and relationships with other au pairs locally and virtually.
